Biography
Born in Sevres, where his father Antoine Beranger was an artist at the famous porcelain manufactory . Famous artists were also the older brother of Jean-Baptiste Antoine Emile Beranger (1814–1883) and the sister of Susanne Estelle Apoil (Beranger) (1825–1874).
He received his first painting lessons from his father. Then he studied at the Paris School of Fine Arts under the guidance of Paul Delaroche .
The works of Charles Beranger were awarded in 1839 - bronze, then in 1840 - silver medals.
He died at a young age in Paris.

One of the most famous paintings by the student of Delaroche S. Beranger is “Replica of The Hémicycle” , which he began in 1841, which the teacher completed after the death of his student in 1853. The canvas that now adorns the assembly hall of the School of Fine Arts in Paris, France’s most prestigious art school, depicts great artists, sculptors and architects of the past from the 13th to the 17th century, including Titian , Rembrandt , Rubens , Rafael , Michelangelo , Poussin et al.
