Bishop Euthymius ( 16th century ) - Bishop of the Russian Church , Archbishop of Rostov and Yaroslavl .
He was a tonsurer of the Joseph-Volokolamsk monastery [1] .
Mentioned by the archbishop of Rostov and Yaroslavl since 1583.
The petition to Tsar Fedor Ioannovich , written by Bishop Leonid of Ryazan, has been preserved, in which the latter complains that he, who was invited to the sovereign's table at the Brotherhood of Christ , “You won’t shame me, your god-worshiper, from eating with me from your dish,” ”, And also complained that Vladyka Euthymius of Rostov called the Volotsk vigilantes “ not Jews , but Jews ” [2] [3] .
His request took effect [4] , and in December 1585 Euthymius was removed from the administration of the diocese.
The year of death is unknown.
