History
It was first mentioned in the Scribe Book of the Vodskaya Pyatina of 1500 as the village of Lemovzhe estuary on the river on the Luz in Yastrebinsky Nikolsky churchyard of Koporsky district [2] .
On the map of Ingermanland , A.I. Bergenheim , compiled from Swedish materials in 1676, is indicated as the village of Lemusa [3] .
On the Swedish "General Map of the Province of Ingermanland" of 1704 - as Lemusi [4] .
As the village of Lemus, it is indicated on the “Geographical drawing of Izhora land” by Adrian Schonbeck in 1705 [5] .
Under the name Lemogy, the village is mentioned on the map of Ingermanlandia A. Rostovtsev in 1727 [6] .
On the map of the St. Petersburg province , F.F. Schubert is referred to as the village of Lemovzha in 1834 [7] .
LEMOVZHA - the village belongs to the Sakharov brothers, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 78 m., 73 women. p. (1838) [8]
Lemovzha village is marked on the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852 [9] .

In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Redkinsky volost of the 1st camp of the Yamburg district of the St. Petersburg province.
From 1917 to 1924, the village of Lemovzha was part of the Lemovzhsky village council of the Redkin volost of Kingisepp county .
Since 1924, as part of the Hotnezh Village Council.
Since February 1927, as part of the Moloskovitsky volost. Since August 1927, as part of the Osminsky district .
In 1928, the population of Lemovzha village was 228 people [12] .
According to 1933, the village was called Lemovsha and was part of the Khotnezhsky village council of the Osminsky district [13] .
From August 1, 1941 to January 31, 1944, the village was under occupation.
Since 1961, as part of the Volosovsky district.
Since 1963, in the Kingisepp district .
Since 1965, again as part of the Volosovsky district. In 1965, the population of Lemovzha village was 84 people [12] .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Lemovzha was also part of the Khotnezh village council of the Volosovsky district [14] [15] [16] .
In 1997, 19 people lived in the village of Lemovzha , the village belonged to the Saba volost, in 2002 - 30 people (Russian - 97%), in 2007 - 18, in 2010 - 23 people [17] [18] [19] [20] .
Geography
The village is located in the southern part of the district on the highway 41K-048 ( Izvoz - Lemovzha), on the border with the Luga district .
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 28 km [19] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Moloskovitsy is 49 km [14] .
The village is located on the right bank of the Luga at the confluence of the Lemovzhi River,
