Biography
Shazie Karsla began her career as a professional basketball player in the Botas Spor training system from Adana , where from the age of 14 she began to be constantly involved in the national team of various ages. At the age of 17, she made her debut in the “first” national team , on December 1, 1999 against the Croatian national team (qualifying match for the European Championship - 2001 ) she went on the court for 1 minute. Two years later, on May 18, 2001 , Chazie scored her first points (total - 20 points) in the match against the Luxembourg national team (qualifying match for the European Championship 2003 ).
In 2003, Shaziye transferred to one of the “grands” of the Turkish women's basketball “Fenerbahçe” , with whom he became the three - time champion of Turkey , and reached the FIBA European Cup final (2004/05). In that European Cup draw, Carlsa had the best score in the team in terms of points - 16.0 on average per match. Having played brilliantly the semifinal match of the European Cup with the Croatian ZKK Croatia (19 points), the final, with the hostess of the Final Four Neapolitan Fard Napoli, Shazie failed - she scored 7 points in 30 minutes (the worst result for all 13 European cup matches) .
In the 2008/09 season, Shazie Karsla arrives in Russia to play for Spartak , Moscow Region , where she played only 8 matches in the Russian Championship and 10 in the Euroleague , after which she left for Turkey in December 2008 , where she ended the season on a major note. Then she was waiting for another victory in the Turkish championship with Fenerbahçe , and from the 2011/12 season she was again the Galatasaray basketball player, with whom she became a member of the FIBA Euroleague Final Eight for two years in a row.
Since 2005, Shazie has been a permanent member of the Turkish national team , played at five European championships , of which, in 2011, she won silver medals with the 4th indicator in the team by points scored - 9 per game, in 2013 she won bronze medals, where in the quarterfinal match with Belarus she showed the best result in the team - 13 points. He is a participant in a historic event for Turkey - a national team player at the London Olympics . Two years later, at the “home” world championship, Shazie played in all the games of the national team (6), the meeting with Serbia in the quarter finals was especially successful for her, where the basketball player scored 12 points and made 4 rebounds.
