History

On October 22, 1939, a Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic "On the establishment of the honorary title" People's poet of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic "was approved."

On April 18, 1996, by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan , the “Regulation on the honorary title“ People's poet of the Republic of Bashkortostan ”was approved.” According to the decree, the honorary title is conferred on “outstanding poets who have special merits in the development of Bashkir literature, who have created deeply popular and highly artistic works that are very popular among the people, and conduct active social and political activities” [1] .

Awarding grounds

The title is assigned by the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan , after consideration of the submission for the awarding of the honorary title "People's Poet of the Republic of Bashkortostan" and the award certificate of the established form. The persons awarded the honorary title are awarded with the Certificate of the Republic of Bashkortostan on conferring the honorary title and the badge "People's poet of the Republic of Bashkortostan", which is worn on the right side of the chest.
