Julian Wieniawski ( Polish: Julian Wieniawski ; February 5, 1834 , Lublin - September 23, 1912 , Warsaw ) - Polish writer, prose writer and playwright. Member of the January 1863 uprising . The literary pseudonym is Jordan.

Biography
The eldest son of the Lublin doctor Tadeusz Wieniawski (before the adoption of Catholicism - Wolf Gelman, 1798–1884) and Regina Wolf (1811–1884, the sister of the composer Eduard Wolf and the doctor Maximilian Wolf (1809–1874). [1] Parents were Jews assimilated into Polish society. [2] (already the mother’s parents, natives of Danzig , converted from Judaism to Catholicism, and later to Calvinism .) Four more sons were subsequently born to the spouses: Henryk (who became a violinist), twins Jozef (who became a pianist) and Alexander (formerly short-lived opera singer , father of the composer Adam Tadeu and Weniawski ) and died at the age of one Kajetan [3] .
In 1848 he graduated from high school in his hometown, then the Agronomical Institute near the Polish capital. During his studies, he was engaged in active political activity - he belonged to the Belyh political camp, uniting liberal landowners, the bourgeoisie and the intelligentsia in the Kingdom of Poland .
He participated in the Polish uprising of 1863 . After the suppression of the uprising, he went to France, where he continued to study economics and law.
In 1865 he returned to his homeland, where he was immediately arrested. In 1872 he settled in Warsaw. He was the initiator of the creation and leader of the first in Poland "Mutual Credit Society" .
In 1879-1912 he lived near the city of Grodzisk-Mazowiecki . At the end of his life, he became blind and ceased to engage in literary work. He died in Warsaw in 1912 and was buried in the Old Povonzki cemetery.
Creativity
He made his debut in 1859 on the pages of the Gazety Codziennej, where several of his literary letters were printed. In 1872 he made a number of essays in the capital's nationwide literary, artistic, and socio-political illustrated weekly journal Tygodniku Ilustrowanym .
