Biography
Orthodox.
Received home education. He graduated from the Vilna Infantry Junker School (1887), from where he was released as second lieutenant to the 107th Troitsky Infantry Regiment .
Ranks: lieutenant (1891), staff captain (for distinction, 1898), captain (1900), lieutenant colonel (1912), colonel (1914).
He graduated from the Officers Rifle School .
He participated in the Russian-Japanese war , was part of the Port Arthur garrison during the defense of the fortress .
On January 1, 1909 he was in the 28th East Siberian Rifle Regiment . On January 1, 1910 and November 1, 1911 - in the 11th Rifle Regiment .
Since May 15, 1913 he served in the 36th Infantry Regiment of the Oryol , with which he entered the First World War . He was awarded the St. George arms
