Ultrasonic pressing of nanopowders

Ultrasonic pressing of nanopowders ( English ultrasound pressing of nanopowders ) is a method of dry cold compaction of ceramic nanopowders without the use of plasticizers [1] .

Content

Description

The impact of powerful ultrasound on the powder during the pressing process reduces the interparticle friction and friction of the powder particles on the walls of the mold , partially destroys agglomerates and large particles, increases the surface activity of the powder particles and the uniformity of their volume distribution. This helps to increase the density of the pressed product , accelerate diffusion processes, limit the growth of grains during subsequent sintering and preserve the nanostructure . Ultrasonic pressing of nanopowders is especially effective in the manufacture of products of complex shape [1] .
