The 17th Shtipsky Infantry Division ( Bulgarian. Sedemnacete Infantry Division ) is a division of the Bulgarian Armed Forces during the Second World War.

History
The division was formed in 1941: initially it was composed of two battalions of the 13th Rila Infantry Regiment (two companies), the 1st Company of the 3rd Bda Infantry Regiment, the 6th Divisional Machine Gun Group, the 4th Artillery Branch of the 7th artillery regiment and the 1st team reconnaissance company. Commanded the division, Colonel Boris Bogdanov, she was subordinate to the 1st occupation corps. The division was disbanded in July 1942 [1] .
In September 1943, in Shtip, the division was again formed from the 48th Doyransky, the 49th Kalimansky, the 56th Veleshsky infantry regiments, the 17th division artillery regiment, the 17th divisional transport platoon, the 17th divisional machine-gun group, 17 Anti-Tank Divisional Group and the 17th Divisional Hospital. The division was commanded by Colonel Nikola Aleksiev, the division was in the 5th army [1] . In September 1944, the division received its baptism of fire, entering into battle with the German fascist troops on the Shtip-Kochani line, for Tsarevo-Selo and Boboshevo, in those battles she lost 31 people killed and 110 wounded. [2] On October 28, 1944 the division was finally disbanded [3] .
