Purpose of Flight
Shenzhou-4 was the final flight, in a series of unmanned flights, before the manned flight into space on this ship. It was a much more advanced ship in comparison with the three previous devices of this series, which had already made flights into space. During the preparation for the flight , astronauts worked in the cockpit, practicing preparation for the manned flight. In addition to various equipment (including a full-fledged control panel), to check the readiness of the life support system during the flight, a spaceman mannequin was placed in a spacesuit in a spacesuit [1] .
The orbital module of the ship continued to fly, and in late January - early February 2003, it made at least two maneuvers.
