Museum and Exhibition Center of Nazarovo

The Museum of Local Lore of the City of Nazarovo was opened on April 10, 1970. Its founder was Pyotr Vasilyevich Zarubkin, a history teacher at secondary school No. 4, as well as a veteran of World War II . On February 21, 1990, the election committee of the city council of people's deputies of the city of Nazarovo decided to create a state museum of local lore . On May 9, 1990, the first exposition hall “Nazarovo Past” was opened for visitors.

In May 1991, a creative association of Nazarov artists and craftsmen was created on the basis of the museum. At the same time, the museum began to host exhibitions of works by masters from Nazarovo and other regions.

On October 6, 1994, the museum received the status of “Museum and Exhibition Center” of the city of Nazarovo (MBUK “IEC”).

Now the Museum and Exhibition Center of the city of Nazarovo contains more than 12,500 exhibits of the main fund for the history and local history of the Nazarovsky district and the Krasnoyarsk Territory . At exhibitions located in the Museum and Exhibition Center, as well as at extra-museum exhibitions, more than 6 thousand exhibits were presented.

The Museum and Exhibition Center of Nazarovo has six exhibition halls:

1. Hall “Flora and Fauna” - expositions by nature , paleontology , archeology and mineralogy of the Nazarovsky district and Krasnoyarsk Territory.
2. The Nazarovo Past Hall is an exposition on the history of the Nazarovo district from the moment Nazarovo was founded (1742) until the end of the 19th century.
3. The "Pre-war Nazarovo" hall - expositions on Nazarov history from the beginning of the 20th century until the Great Patriotic War and about famous Nazarovites.
4. Hall "Defenders of the Fatherland" - an exposition about Nazarovites - participants of the Great Patriotic War, as well as about Nazarovites - participants of the "Afghan" war and military personnel who died during military service in the post-war period.
5. "Exhibition Hall" - it hosts exhibitions of artists and craftsmen of the DPT in Nazarovo and the Nazarovsky district, Krasnoyarsk Territory and other regions of Russia, near and far abroad.
6. Modern Nazarovo Hall - expositions on the history of Nazarovo after the war, information about the enterprises and noble workers of the city.

Near the museum is a memorial stone to Nazariy Patyukov (the founder of the village of Nazarovo).
