Simanovsky, Pinhus Sholomovich

Pinhus Sholomovich Simanovsky (1901-1940) - head of the NKVD Directorate for the Oryol Region , major in state security , deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 1st convocation . He was a member of the special trio of the NKVD of the USSR .

Biography

Pinhus Simanovsky was born in 1901 in the town of Ozarichi of the Mozyr district of the Minsk province . My father was a peddler , and later a reseller and butcher.

P. Simanovsky graduated from the legal department of the Belarusian State University .

  • October 1, 1937 - January 17, 1939 - head of the UNKVD of the Oryol region. This period was marked by the inclusion of a special troika created by order of the NKVD of the USSR dated July 30, 1937 No. 00447 [1] and active participation in the Stalinist repressions [2] .
  • He was arrested on January 13, 1939, including for falsifying criminal cases [3] , and was involved in a case involving A. A. Nasedkin [4] .
  • Sentenced by the VKVS of the USSR on February 21, 1940 to capital punishment
  • He was shot according to the " Stalinist lists " [5] on February 22, 1940. Not rehabilitated.

  • According to the Ryazan Memorial Society , P. Simanovsky, among other things, is personally responsible for the repression and execution of residents of the Ryazan District of the Moscow Region [6] .
  • According to the Chekist M. Schreider , Pinhus Simanovsky is “a terrible sneak and careerist” [7] .
  • P. Simanovsky is considered one of the organizers of mass repressions in the Oryol region. Numerous falsified “cases” and the death of thousands of innocent people are associated with it [8] [9] .
  • According to some reports, for work in Dmitrovlag on the construction of the Moscow – Volga Canal, P. Simanovsky, in addition to the Order of Lenin, was awarded an award “tea pair” (cup and saucer) [10] .
