Biography

Konstantin Alexandrovich Nazarov was born on August 17, 1923 in the city of Kislovodsk . By nationality - Armenian (father is from Artsakh [1] ).

He graduated from high school in Baku . He served in the Red Army from June 1941 . In December 1941 he graduated from the Tbilisi Higher Artillery Command School named after 26 Baku commissars. For a short time he served in the rear forces.

Lieutenant Nazarov in the Great Patriotic War from March 1, 1942 . He fought as a platoon commander in the 846th artillery regiment of the 277th rifle division on the South-Western Front , and participated in the defensive battles of the spring and summer of 1942 in the area of Kharkov , Oskol , and Kupyansk .

In a battle on June 24, 1942 in Kupyansk, Lieutenant Nazarov was wounded and evacuated to the hospital of the city of Balashov, Saratov Region .

From August 1942 to May 9, 1945, he fought as part of the 1184th anti-tank artillery regiment of the 20th separate anti-tank artillery brigade in the Stalingrad , Donskoy , Central , Belorussian and 1st Belorussian fronts.

In 1943 he became the commander of the battery, in early 1945 an assistant chief of staff of the regiment.

He participated in the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1943 .

In the autumn of 1943, Soviet infantry units occupied a bridgehead 500 meters long and 300 meters deep on the western bank of the Sozh River . For the successful fulfillment of the task, Lieutenant Nazarov was awarded the Order of the Red Star and assigned the rank of senior lieutenant . Subsequently, he was in the forefront of those who liberated the territory of Western Ukraine and Poland .

The city of Międzyrzec was turned by the Germans into a powerful point of resistance. For the courage shown in the battles for Miedzyrzec , Lieutenant Nazarov was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree .

On October 5-7, 1944, the Battery of Nazarova participated in hostilities in the western part of the Narev River ( Poland ). For participation on February 21, 1945, Captain Nazarov was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union . In 1945 , he participated in the Vistula-Oder and Berlin operations. Participated in the Victory Parade on June 24, 1945 .

After winning the Great Patriotic War, he continued to serve in the Soviet Army . He served in the artillery units.

In 1952 he graduated from the F. Dzerzhinsky Military Academy .

Since 1960, he commanded a missile regiment.

From 1962 he served in the Main Personnel Directorate of the USSR Ministry of Defense .

From 1964 he served in the main operational management of the General Staff .

Since 1970, Major General of artillery .

Since May 1974, Deputy Chief of the Central Command Center of the General Staff .

Since 1987 in stock. He lived in Moscow .

Konstantin Alexandrovich Nazarov died on October 8, 1996 in Moscow . He was buried at the Troyekurovsky cemetery .
