Title
The name "Muslim" ( Urdu مسلمان ) comes from the Persian word muslim / musalman ( Persian مسلمان ) - " Muslim ", which in turn comes from the Arabic word muslim ( Arabic. مسلم ) in the same meaning. In English, the newspaper is called The Musalman .
History
The Musalman was founded by Sayed Azmatullah in 1927 [1] , established by Dr. , the former president of the Indian National Congress [4] . The newspaper’s office was in in Chennai.
After the death of Sed Azmatullah, Sayed Fazulla, who died on April 26, 2008 at the age of 78, took up the issue of the newspaper [1] . In 2007, Fazulla expressed concern that calligraphy might die with him, as his sons did not show interest in continuing the tradition [5] . Fazullah’s son, Sayed Nasarullah, said that because he is not interested in calligraphy, “there are changes” [2] .
The next editor of the newspaper was Fayzulla's other son, Sayed Arifulla [6] .

For 20 years now, Chinnaswami Balasubramaniam has been working as the newspaper’s main correspondent [4] ; in addition, correspondents work in New Delhi , Calcutta , Hyderabad and other cities [1] .
Famous poets, religious leaders and royal blood are often invited to the office, some of them contribute to the pages of Musalman [2] .
