Tarot Gomi ( Jap. 太郎 太郎 Gomi Tarot: born in Tokyo on August 20, 1945) is a Japanese illustrator, designer, author of more than 400 books for children. Winner of many prestigious awards in the field of children's literature (Sankei Jido Shuppan Bunka Award, Bologna Children's Book Fair Award, etc.). Biography
There are two types of artists that have influenced me: those whose work I like, and those who make me stop and think. For example, when I first saw the paintings of Pierre Bonnard, I immediately fell in love with them and felt as if I had known him for many years. When I saw Jasper Johns, I thought: “Oh God! Tarot Gomi is known worldwide as the author of children's albums for creativity, in which the child is invited to complete the story proposed by the author.
