History

Kosulino was founded in 1695 [2] . The first mention in the church documents of the village was found in 1721, it is described as a multi-yard village located near the Siberian Highway on the Bobrovka River [4] . The village of Kosulino often burned. Due to fires, residents lost property and housing. The Kosulins had the nickname “Kosulins beggars” for walking in villages and asking for alms for a “burnt place”.

"Yekaterinburg week" for May 1883:

From Kosulino. May 15 was greeted by the Kosulins joyfully, and ended in great grief. About half past three, a fire broke out due to unknown reasons, and within three hours almost all of Kosulin was burned - 120 houses along with buildings, property, and livestock. The gusts of wind during the fire were so strong that they immediately covered dozens of houses with fire, and it was not possible to act to stop the fire. God forbid anyone to see a similar picture, which was in Kosulino, and which the Kosulins see a second time. 15 years ago, in 1868, there was a similar fire in Kosulino. And only the Kosulins rebuilt new houses, buildings, everything at once went to dust. [five]
