Biography

Ingrid Louise Visser was born on June 4, 1977 in Gouda ( South Holland ).

In 1984, Ingrid began her volleyball career on the Nesselande team. Acted as a central blocker. In October 1994, she made her debut in the national team of the Netherlands and a year later won the “gold” at the European Championships . In 1996, she participated in the Olympic tournament in Atlanta , where the Dutch team took 5th place.

In total, Visser had 514 matches for the Netherlands national team, which is a national record, was the team captain [2] . In 2007, she won a gold medal at the World Grand Prix , in 2009 - a silver medal at the European Championship .

In May 2013, Ingrid and her roommate Lodewijk Severein, formerly the general manager of the Netherlands women's team, disappeared in Spain , and on May 27 of the same year it became known that the couple had been found killed near Murcia . On suspicion of murder by the Spanish police, two Romanian citizens [3] and the former manager of the Murcia 2005 club Juan Cuenca, who appears as the main customer of the crime, were detained [4] . The main reason for the murder of a volleyball player is considered her involvement in the marble business [5] .
