Boxing competitions at the 1936 Summer Olympics were held from August 10 to 15 in Berlin . 8 sets of awards were played - 8 weight categories. In one weight category from one country only one athlete could compete. The competition was attended by 179 fighters from 31 countries of the world. Starting from these Games, boxers began to be weighed before each match, whereas earlier, weighing took place only once before the start of the tournament.
