Maha Tilavunta Shin

Maha Tilavunta Shin (Wu Nye's real name; probably 1453-1518 or 1520, Townduinji) is a Burmese poet and prose writer, chronicler.

Information about his life was practically not preserved, except for the information that he was a monk and was considered one of the largest writers of the era of the state of Ava.

Six of his works have been fully preserved (the rest are only in fragments). These are two poems in the genre of religious Buddhist poetry pio (pio) on the plot of jatak (Paramidokhan (1491 or 1492, Russian; “Perfection of perfection”; dedicated to Buddha) and Hsutaungan pyo (1495)), which serve as an illustration of specific pillars of Buddhist teachings; poem Taungdwinla , written in the same genre and poetically describing a journey to the city of Townduinji ; three prose works considered the first known examples of Burmese prose: collections of religious moralizing stories “Parayana Wuttu” (1501 or 1511, Russian “The Path to Nirvana”), historical chronicle (Yazavin) “Yazavinjo” (1502 or 1520, letters. “Famous” Chronicle ”), also known as“ Makha Sammat Vamsa ”(Russian“ The Chronicles of the Great Ancient Rulers ”), which is a large-scale historical work on the history of Burma, Sri Lanka and India, as well as the“ Chronicle of Royal Horoscopes ”(Zatatavba Yazavin "), Which contains a list of bi Manske kings in chronological order, the genealogy of which is being built by the author to the Buddha.

His poem poies consist of stanzas, each of which includes three lines, and are written, as it is believed, by a deliberately complicated language; its historical ballads (eijin) and laudatory odes (moguns) are significantly “lighter” both in form and content.
