Tapeworm (translated from English. - "Solitaire") - inactive side-project of the American industrial group Nine Inch Nails, which existed in various forms from 1995 to 2004 [1] . Tapeworm never released any recordings, but was often mentioned in interviews. The group began as a project of NIN members Trent Reznor , Danny Lohner and Charlie Clouser , after their tour of the Self Destruct Tour , which was held in support of The Downward Spiral [2] [3] . Over the years, the lineup has expanded, including Maynard James Keenan , Atticus Ross , Tony Halliday [4] , Josh Freese [5], and others. The project has grown into a supergroup [6] . In 2001, rumors began to circulate about the imminent release of the studio album Tapeworm [7] [8] , but the first official information about the upcoming material appeared only in September 2003 [9] . In an interview with MTV News and Kerrang magazine ! Danny Lohner reported that the record was recorded at the final stage, and its release will take place on the label Nothing Records [7] . But in 2004, Reznor announced the dissolution of the group. He referred to problems with record companies and the loss of interest in the project among its participants [10] .
