Biography
Born in 1960 and Italy . He studied with Salvatore Sharrino and Helmut Lachenman . He taught at the University of Music and Theater in Graz , at the Vienna Conservatory . Currently lives in Vienna .
Pierluigi was performed by leading ensembles, including Klangforum Wien, Wien Modern, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Modern, ensemble recherche, Instant Donné, Ensemble Contrechamps and many others. His music was performed in festivals such as "Musical Days in Donaueschingen", "Summer Music Courses in Darmstadt", "Academy of New Music in Graz", as well as in many cities of Russia , including Moscow , St. Petersburg , Perm , Tchaikovsky , Nizhny Novgorod and other cities.
Among the awards he received for his work are the “Composition Prize of the City of Stuttgart ” ( 1993 ), the Prize named after Ferruccio Busoni ( 1996 ), the 1st prize at the International Composition Competition in Vienna ( 2004 ), the Ernst Kshenek Prize in Vienna ( 2006) )
