Mudiria Harf-Sufyan ( Arabic. مديرية رف سفيان ) is the largest part of the Amran governorate , located in the north and borders with the Sa'ad governorate .

Etymology
The name of the region comes from the name of the administrative center of Al-Harfa , which can be translated as "Symbol", and the male Arabic name Sufyan .
