Don-1200 - Soviet combine harvester, produced by Rostselmash . It was developed as a replacement for the “Niva” , but for a long time it was produced in parallel with it.
It is similar in design to the Don-1500 combine, differs from it mainly in lower productivity, as well as in the construction of the header, chassis, and power transmission. The Don-1200K modification (with the presence of a hydraulic leveling system, reduced bunker capacity to 4.5 m³) can be used in mountainous areas with a slope of relief less than 20 °. There were modifications of Don-1200B, Don-1200A and Don-1200N (for non-black-earth zone). On the basis of Don-1200, the KS-8 castor-harvester was created.
