Creation History
The Theater of the Commonwealth of Drama Artists grew out of the play "Arcadia" based on the play of the same name by the English playwright Tom Stoppard . During the rehearsals, a theater development program was developed and the composition of the troupe was discussed, the backbone of which is made up of artists from famous theaters in Moscow: the Vakhtangov Theater , the Commonwealth of Taganka Actors , the Roman Viktyuk Theater, the Sphere Theater , and the Maly Theater .

Location
The theater is located in a real garden called the Pharmaceutical Garden . This place of extraordinary beauty is located in the center of Moscow on Prospekt Mira . Peter I himself laid the foundation for it in 1706 . This small oasis among the sea of houses, roads and cars is truly a paradise. The garden is very expertly planned: winding paths sprinkled with marble chips and from this acquire a pinkish tint, plants outlandish and familiar to our eyes. There is even a greenhouse and a small pond, from the bridge of which you can watch the bright multi-colored fish - Japanese koi carps. All this is shrouded in touching love and care, traditionally handed down by gardeners from generation to generation.
The Theater of S.A.D. itself, which has a platform for 120 seats, is located in the palm greenhouse itself, is a match for this place.

Interesting Facts
In May 2013, the American playwright, director and producer Charles Mori visited the premiere of the play based on his own play “The Balagan”, watching the play “ Arcadia ” based on the play by Tom Stoppard :
