Kostylev, Leonid Evgenievich

Leonid Evgenievich Kostylev (born May 8, 1989 , Oktyabrsky ) is a Russian lightweight and welterweight boxer, and has been playing for the national team since 2008. Champion of Russia, European champion, master of sports of international class. The competition is represented by Bashkortostan, a member of the Dynamo sports and athletic society.

Biography

Leonid Kostylev was born on May 8, 1989 in the city of Oktyabrsky , Bashkortostan . He began to actively engage in boxing at the age of eleven at the children's and youth sports school No. 1 with a coach Vasily Savkin, later he joined the Dynamo sports society, becoming an employee of the internal affairs department of the Chishminsky district . He achieved his first serious success in the ring in 2006, when he became one of the winners of the Russian championship, won the championship of the Volga Federal District and received a gold medal following the match between Russia and the world team. A year later, became the best in the championship of the Armed forces.

In 2008, Kostylev won the national lightweight championship and thanks to this victory earned the right to represent the country at the European Championships in Liverpool [1] , where he subsequently defeated all his rivals and thereby won a gold medal - for this achievement he was awarded the title of master of sports of international class . In 2009, he took second place in the Russian Championship, in third place. Despite the impressive results, further in the career of Leonid Kostylev there was a sharp decline, in the next two years at the championships of Russia he took off from the fight in the early stages, in addition, due to problems with weight loss, he had to move to the welterweight category [2] .
