Patrick McGrath (born February 7, 1950 ) is a British novelist whose works are defined as Gothic literature .

Biography
Born in London, McGrath grew up near Broadmoor Hospital, where his father worked as the head physician. [1] Patrick graduated from Stonyhurst College. He is married to actress Maria Aitken and lives in New York .
The works of McGrath are primarily characterized by a narrative on behalf of an unreliable narrator, as well as constant addressing issues such as mental disorder , repressed homosexuality and marital infidelity.
His novel Marta Peak received the Premio Flaiano award in Italy . [2]
