Tosontsengel ( Mong. Tosontsengel ) - Somon aimag Zavhan in the western part of Mongolia . The population according to 2010 was 7,881 people [1] .

The center of the somon is the village of Shumuultai , located 180 kilometers from the administrative center of the aimag, the city of Uliastai, and 800 kilometers from the capital, Ulan Bator [2] .
Geography
Somon is located in the western part of Mongolia . It borders with the neighboring Souder Ider , Ih-Uul , Otgon and Telman , as well as with the neighboring aymaks Arkhangai and Khuvsgel . On the territory of Tosontsengel there is Mount Marz, the Ider, Chuzhul, Tegsh rivers flow [2] .
Climate
The climate is sharply continental. The average January temperature is -32 degrees, July +16 degrees. The average annual rainfall is 270 mm [2] .
Fauna
The animal world of Tosontsengel is represented by wolves, boars, foxes, manulami [2] .
Infrastructure
In somone there is a school, hospital, shopping and cultural centers [2] .
