Haus der Lüge ( German: “House of Lies”) is the fifth studio album of the German experimental music group Einstürzende Neubauten , published in 1989 . The cover was based on a fragment of an engraving by German artist Hans Baldung “Ejaculating stallion rejected by a mare” of 1534.

Haus der Lüge represents a departure from the style of subtle restrained noise , characteristic of the work of Einstürzende Neubauten of the second half of the 1980s [1] . Allmusic reviewer Ned Raggett wrote that “ Haus der Lüge lasting just over half an hour is as impressive as possible. <...> The album is full of screams and screams, swift guitar parts and Bargeld's recitative vocals, which reached its full strength. <...> "Feurio!" Is one of the band's strongest singles, <...> the title track is no less expressive. <...> The latest Einstürzende Neubauten album of the 1980s sums up the decade on a high note ” [2] .
