The Philippine diaspora is one of the youngest and fastest growing diasporas in the world. It has several million people. It is characterized by the predominance of female labor migration, which is directed mainly to the urbanized regions of the developed English-speaking countries of the world, as well as to the countries of the Persian Gulf, Hong Kong , Japan , Korea , Singapore . Since the end of the 1940s, Filipino migrants were sent mainly to their former US metropolis , where there are still a significant number of nurses and teachers from the Philippines [1] . In the European Union, the most attractive country for Filipinos, for linguistic reasons, is the United Kingdom [2] . However, due to increased migration control, the popularity of Canada has increased in recent decades, with fewer restrictions on labor migration [3] . Since the end of the 90s, Filipinos actively immigrated to their first metropolis Spain , but this flow has dried up due to the onset of the financial crisis. In a number of Asian economies, Filipinae are involved in the shadow (massage parlors) and even illegal sectors of the economy (prostitution).
