Foster son of a priest. He graduated from Ananievskaya gymnasium (1887) and the Department of Physics and Mathematics of Novorossiysk University (1891).

In 1893, he graduated from the military training course of the Moscow Infantry Junker School , from where he was released as second lieutenant to the 59th Infantry Regiment of Lublin .

Ranks: lieutenant (1896), staff captain (1899), captain (1901), lieutenant colonel (1904), colonel (1908), major general (1914).

In 1899 he graduated from the geodesic department of the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff in the 1st category. In 1901-1903 he was among the officers of the Corps of Military Topographers , then he was the chief of the combat department of the headquarters of the Ochakov Fortress (1903-1904).

Senior adjutant of the headquarters of the 15th Infantry Division participated in the Russian-Japanese war . From August 17, 1905 to August 19, 1906 he was the ruler of the office of the staging department of the head of military communications under the Commander-in-Chief in the Far East . Later, he was the head officer for special assignments at the headquarters of the 12th Army Corps (1906-1907) and senior adjutant of the headquarters of the Kazan Military District (1907-1909). In 1909-1913 he was seconded to the Alexander Military School to teach military sciences.

May 10, 1913 was appointed chief of staff of the 44th Infantry Division , with which he entered the First World War . He was awarded the Order of St. George 4th degree

In October 1915 he was appointed commander of the 152nd Infantry Regiment of Vladikavkaz . On November 30, 1916 he was appointed chief of staff of the 17th Infantry Division , and on March 19, 1917, he was appointed chief of staff of the 13th Army Corps . In May 1917 he was appointed commander of the 70th Infantry Division .

During the October uprising, he was arrested at the direction of the Military Revolutionary Committee , but was soon released.

In 1918, he voluntarily joined the Red Army . He occupied the post of inspector of the Main Directorate of Military Educational Institutions of the All-Russian Military Headquarters, from December 11, 1919 he was: a lecturer of the Military Academy of the Red Army, head of the library and textbooks department of the Higher Educational Institution of Higher Education, special lecturer of the Military Academy and special lecturer of the Military Academy. He held the positions of senior leader of group lectures at the Military Academy (1922-1923), head of the Geodetic Directorate of the Red Army (1923-1926) and military instructor of the Moscow Conservatory.

In 1928 he retired, taught military affairs at the 2nd Moscow State University and the Plekhanov Institute . November 10, 1930 was arrested in the case of "Spring" :

The first to be seized were retired military men A. N. Galitsinsky, A. V. Novikov, and N. S. Belyaev, since there was no need to request authorization for their arrest at the People's Commissariat of Defense. Then a friend of Vladislavsky, E. K. Smyslovsky, and teachers of the Air Force Military Academy, S. G. Lukirsky and F. F. Novitsky, were arrested. In addition, V. G. Sukhov soon fell into jail.

Judging by the interrogation protocols, the majority of those arrested behaved very dignified, in particular, all three retired generals and Lieutenant Colonel V. G. Sukhov. Interrogations lasted for days, and, most likely, the defendants were severely beaten. At least there is reason to believe that General Galitsinsky died precisely from the beatings.

He pleaded guilty, on July 18, 1931 was sentenced to five years in prison , in July 1934 he was released ahead of schedule. In September 1934 he was appointed lecturer at the military department of the Moscow Conservatory . He died in 1935 in Moscow. Buried there. He was married, had a son.
