“Meno Fortas” [1] ( lit. “Meno fortas“ - “Fort of Arts”) is a drama theater directed by Eymuntas Nyakroshyus in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The theater was founded on January 28, 1998 with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. After reconstruction, since October 2007, Meno Fortas continues to operate only as a chamber theater. Over the entire period of work in the theater, about 15 performances were staged, the most famous of which were Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello, The Seasons (two parts - The Joys of Spring and The Wealth of Autumn), Song of Songs , “Faust”, “The Rise of a Rose in the Dark”, “Idiot” and “Divine Comedy” (two parts). The theater is a regular participant in various theater festivals, such as, for example, The Baltic House (St. Petersburg, Russia). Theater address - st. Bernardin ( lit. Bernardinų ) 8/8, 01124, Vilnius, Lithuania. Most of the performances are held on the stage of the National Drama Theater of Lithuania (Vilnius). The theater constantly tours around the world and becomes the winner of many prestigious theater awards.
