Biography
Born on October 5, 1915 in the village of Dorogusha [1] in a peasant family. Russian by nationality. He graduated from grade 4. He worked as an accountant in the district consumer union, then at the Sevkabel plant.
In the Red Army from 1936 to 1938 , in 1939-40 and since 1941 . At the front in World War II since August 1941. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1943 .
The gunner of the 120-mm mortar of the 340th Infantry Regiment ( 46th Infantry Division , 21st Army , Leningrad Front ) Sergeant Aleksey Rogov June 14-15, 1944, when breaking through the enemy’s defense near the village of Lautaranta (Leningrad Region), enemy fire was defeated a bunker, five machine gun nests, crushed four firing points and a mortar battery. For courage and bravery shown in battles, on June 29, 1944, Sergeant Rogov Aleksey Petrovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
During the battle of September 17, 1944, for Sergeant Tokarevo , located 30 kilometers north-east of the city of the Island of the Pskov Region, Senior Sergeant Aleksey Rogov, acting as part of the 340th Rifle Regiment ( 67th Army , Leningrad Front), destroyed with his own calculation, three machine-gun points, two guns and about ten enemy soldiers, crushed two 75-mm guns and scattered before the infantry platoon. For courage and bravery shown in battles, on October 2, 1944, Senior Sergeant Rogov Aleksey Petrovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree.
The mortar crew commander of the 340th rifle regiment ( 2nd strike army , 2nd Belorussian front ), sergeant Aleksey Rogov, when breaking through the enemy’s defenses north of the Polish city of Pultusk on January 20, 1945, with a well-aimed fire, destroyed the gun, four firing points, two observation posts, a large number of Nazis. When repulsing the enemy’s counterattacks, Sergeant Rogov put down three firing points, a mortar battery, and set fire to a car with ammunition.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, for the exemplary performance of command assignments in battles with the Nazi invaders, Senior Sergeant Rogov Aleksey Petrovich was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree, becoming the full holder of the Order of Glory.
On June 25, 1945, Petty Officer Rogov Alexei Petrovich participated in the historic Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow . Demobilized in 1945.
He lived in the city of Leningrad . Before leaving for a well-deserved rest, he worked at the Leningrad Plant named after Mendeleev . He died on September 10, 1975 .
