History
For the first time the village is mentioned in the payment books of the Pekhletsky camp in 1594-1597.
In the "Lists of the inhabited places of the Russian Empire" in the Ryazan province for 1859 on p. 111 the village is referred to as Klyuch at the Ranova and Klyuchik rivers.
The village is located on both banks of the Klyuchik river, which originates from two sources. One of them is the so-called old spring that hits Yul and on in the hollow. A source-spring is connected to this channel in the village of Klyuch. These springs fed the river, and Klyuchik was a full-flowing river, flowed into Ranova. Over time, the river became shallow.
Arbat Street was on the right bank of Klyuchik. She was planted with beautiful gardens, for which she received the name. But with the advent of the Bolsheviks in Klyuch, they began to smash the "rich" - blacksmiths, shoemakers, millers, tailors. Families were exiled to Kazakhstan, and the heads of families were declared enemies of the people and imprisoned, then the street was called Butyrki. Now this street is called Butyrskaya.
