Bishop Alexy ( Seryodkin , mind. April 26, 1899 , Samara ) - Bishop of the Orthodox Church of Christ (Old Believers accepting the Belokrinitsky hierarchy) , Bishop of Samara and Simbirsk.
Biography
November 15, 1879 in Khvalynsk is consecrated bishop of Samara and Simbirsk . Archbishop Izmail Vissarion accomplished ordination in co-operation with other bishops [1] .
The consecration took place in spite of the fact that the Moscow Archdiocese did not consider the rest of his predecessor, Bishop Ambrose (Geraskov) , who, however, did not differ in his activity or education. Only in 1885, Bishop Ambrose officially retired, and in 1886 the Bishop Alexy was erected to the Samara and Simbirsk department.
In October 1898 in Moscow, he took part in the Consecration Cathedral of the “Old Believers Bishops of the Russian Region” [2] .
He died on April 26, 1899 in Samara [3] .
