Mashteksay ( Kazakh. Musteksay , until 199? Leninsky) - a village in the Zhangalinsky district of the West Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center of the Mashteksaysky rural district. The KATO code is 274047100 [2] .

The village is located on the Bolshoi Uzen River .

Population

In 1999, the village population was 2173 people (1096 men and 1077 women) [3] . According to the 2009 census , 1756 people lived in the village (896 men and 860 women) [3] .

History

The village of Glinenskaya was part of the 2nd Lbischensky military department of the Ural Cossack army . By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR of December 23, 1961, the center of the Dzhangalinsky district of the West Kazakhstan region was transferred from the village of New Kazanka to the village of Mashteksay. The village of Mashteksay was renamed the village of Leninsky [4] .

  • Borodin, Nikolai Nikolaevich (1878-1919) - leader of the White movement of the Civil War period, a veteran of the Russo-Japanese and World War I.
