Player Career
He played as a light forward . He studied at the University of Seattle and the University of California at Long Beach , in 1975 he was selected by the NBA draft under the 25th number of the team “ Portland Trail Blazers ”. He later played for the San Diego Clippers team. In total, the NBA spent 8 seasons. In the 1976/1977 season, Gross became the NBA champion in Portland. Once included in the 2nd team of all stars of the NBA defense ( 1978 ). In 1975, he was recognized as the basketball player of the year among the students of the Pacific Coast Athletic Association conference . He was assigned number 30 at the Blazers. In total, he played 513 games in his NBA career, scoring 4567 points (an average of 8.9 per game), making 2253 rebounds , 1481 assists , 615 interceptions and 361 block shots .
