History

The first match of the team took place on January 8, 1996. The Mexicans also hosted debuting Colombians and tied (10:10). However, the first test match of the Mexicans took place only in March 2008. Rugby players beat Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (47: 7) in the qualifying match for the 2011 World Cup . Having won one more meeting and having conceded twice, the Mexicans took the sixth place in the round “1A”, completing the performances.

In the Caribbean Championship match against Jamaica, the team won a record-breaking major victory (68:14). The record was the number of fans who attended the team match (2000). The match was taken into account as a qualifying game for the next world championship [2] .
