Biography
Damir Khasanovich Fathutdinov was born in 1933 in the village. Biektau of the Rybno-Slobodsky District of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in the family of the teacher Fathutdinov Khasan Khaidarovich. By nationality - Tatar . He graduated from the geological faculty of Kazan State University . Since 1974 , he worked as the chief geologist of the Stepnoy Exploration Expedition of the Kustanai Geological Exploration Trust, and later as the leading geologist of the department of the North Kazakhstan Production Geological Association of the USSR Ministry of Geology (Kustanai Region). In 1984 he was awarded the USSR State Prize for discovering a bauxite deposit. He died in June 1991 in Kustanai, and is buried there.
