Born February 5, 1986 in the city of Guarabira . Pupil of the youthful team of the football club "Juventude" ^[3] .

Marciu got into the main team in 2005, but debuted only in 2006. And so began his career at the Juventude Club. It took him time to gain a foothold in the main team, and over time he succeeded. In 2007, his game was highly praised, and he was recognized as the best left-back of the Gaucho League.

According to unofficial information, Shakhtar received 400 thousand euros for the rent of Marcio ^[6] .
