- Arsenal withdrew from the championship after 13 matches. Due to the fact that the club spent less than half of the planned games, the results of all matches with its participation were canceled
- The difficult political situation in Ukraine in 2013-2014 (see Euromaidan , the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation , protests in the South-East of Ukraine (2014) , armed conflict in eastern Ukraine ) was reflected in the football championship. In particular, all the matches of the 19th and 20th rounds, which were supposed to start the spring part of the championship, were postponed to a later date [21] . The match of the 21st round between Tavria and Dynamo, as well as the match of the 22nd round between Sevastopol and Metalist, which were to be held in Crimea , were moved to Kiev (they were played at the NSC Olimpiysky [22 ] and Dynamo Stadium named after V. Lobanovsky [23] respectively). All matches of the 29th round were held in the empty stands [24] . The matches of the last two rounds, which were supposed to be held in cities, with the most tense situation ( Lugansk , Donetsk , Mariupol , Kharkov , Odessa ) were moved to other cities. So in the penultimate round, Zarya played a match against Shakhtar at Tsentralny Stadium in Cherkasy [25] , Illichivets hosted Dynamo at Olimpiysky Olympic Club in Kiev [26] , and Metallurg Donetsk played against the club of the same name from Zaporozhye to Dnepropetrovsk , at the Meteor stadium [27] . In the 30th round, Shakhtar again held a match in Cherkassy, at Tsentralny (against Volhynia) [28] , while Metalist and Chernomorets accepted their opponents in Kiev (Metalist - Vorskla to Dynamo ” [29] , and“ Chernomorets ”-“ Carpathians ”at the “ Obolon-Arena ” [30] ). Goverla refused to go to Sevastopol for the match of the 30th round [31] . At the end of the championship Crimean clubs were disbanded
