Argayash (Lake, Miass)

Argayash is a lake in the Chelyabinsk region , northwest of the city of Chebarkul and southwest of Miass . Located on the territory of the Ilmensky reserve .

Geography

To the west is Lake Ilmensky , east of Bolshoi Kisegach , Terenkul , Elovoe and Chebarkul . 3 kilometers to the north-west there is a stopping point SUSH 2008 km .

Near the small pond flows the Gudkovka River, which flows into the Spruce.

Administratively included in the city ​​district of Miass .

Title

On the landcard of Iset province in 1742, the lake is indicated under the name Agayash. In the records of the XIX century it is found in the form of Yargoyash. It is reproduced from the Bashkir words: yar - “shore” and koyash - “sun” and translates as “sunny beach”. Corresponds to the ancient Turkic personal male name Agayash or Argayash, Ergayash. Ergayash [2] is recorded in sources of the 18th century.

Flora and fauna

The bottom of the lake is sandy. Swans swim here , and in the adjacent forest there are many capercaillie . There is also a curly pelican listed in the Red Book [3] .
