House Kuik (Köyk) ( German von Cuyk , Dutch van Cuijk ) is a Dutch-German noble family that owned the counties of Arnsberg (in 1124 - 1368 ) and Rietberg (in 1202 - 1586 ) in the XII - XVI centuries .

Herman van Malsen (c. 1040 - after 1080), the burgraph of Utrecht under Bishop Willem I van Gelre (1054-1076), is considered to be the founder of the Van Quick clan. His descendants, in addition to their allodic possessions, held the post of burggraph of Utrecht.
Around 1140, Herman II van Quick founded the city of Grave ( North Brabant ).
At the beginning of the XII century, the burggraph Gottfried I van Quick (d. After 1154) became the 2nd husband of Jutta (Ida), daughter of Count Arnsberg Frederick I the Stubborn, as a result of which Gottfried I inherited this county in 1124 and founded the Ahrensburg line of the Quick family.
In 1202, a side line emerged from the Ahrensberg line of the von Quick clan led by the son of Count Arensberg Henry I of Fratricides Henry II, who became Earl of Rietberg .
