Catherine Cox Miles ( English Catharine Morris Cox Miles ; 1890-1984) is an American psychologist, known for her work with great and brilliant people (studied over three hundred prominent figures). Based on her research, she concluded that talent is an important, but not the only condition for success in life. According to Miles, the main advantage of outstanding people is endurance and diligence [2] .

Biography
Born May 20, 1890 in San Jose, California.
Mother - Lydia Shipley Bean , father - Charles Ellwood Cox .
Katarina received her doctorate from Stanford University, and in 1927 she married Walter Miles (they had one child) .
She was a professor of clinical psychology at Yale School of Medicine and affiliated with Yale Institute of Human Relations. Previously, she worked at Stanford with scientists involved in the study of human IQ . Collaborated with psychologist Lewis Terman . [3]
In 1953, with her husband, Katarina left Yale University and a year later they left for Turkey . Over the next three years, Walter taught at Istanbul University . In 1957, the couple returned to the United States , to Connecticut .
She died on October 11, 1984 .
Robert Sears said of her in 1986 :
“Dr. Catherine Cox was one of the strongest female psychologists since World War I ... who are an example for many modern professional female psychologists.”
