Description
T610 was one of the first mass devices to have a built-in camera , Bluetooth , a color screen and a navigation joystick . The model was successful and had great sales.
Initially, the T610 was available in three colors: Aluminum Haze (smoky aluminum), Abyss Blue, and Volcanic Red (volcanic red). Many companies that sold the phone in the UK complained to the manufacturer that they could not buy Aluminum Haze color devices, although other color devices were supplied to them normally.
The retro- design of the device was developed by industrial designer Eric Algrin ( en: Erik Ahlgren ) and received numerous positive reviews in specialized magazines, at exhibitions, in reviews and from customers. The keyboard had a silver color regardless of the color of the device.
The T610 is the first camera phone capable of taking photos in resolutions up to 288 x 352 pixels. The device supported GPRS (class 8), HSCSD , WAP 2.0, was able to play polyphonic MIDI tunes, supported games and applications in Java and Mophun (the device had three pre-installed games). The device did not have a speakerphone, but its speaker was loud enough for comfortable use in a noisy place.
