Romania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö and selected a representative through the national selection of Selecţia Naţională , organized by TVR . Romania was represented by singer Chezar with the song “ It's My Life ” [1] .

At Eurovision
At the Eurovision Song Contest, Romania performed in the second semi-final on May 16, 2013. According to the draw, Cesar received the seventeenth performance number, after the Swiss band “ Takasa ”. According to the results of the jury and TV viewers voting, the singer went to the final of the competition, where he performed under number 14. According to the results of the jury and TV viewers' voting, Chezar received 65 points and took the 13th place [2] .

Interesting Facts
- The performance of Chezar was almost identical to the number of Moldovan representative Alena Mun . Performers performed in the same, rising attire [3] .
- The performer Cesar, representing Romania, was the first countertenor at Eurovision in the last many years.
- For the first time at this Eurovision Song Contest, dubstep sounded, and it was in the Chezar issue.
