History
The parish of Ropsu was formed at the beginning of the XVIII century, as a drip parish of Skvoritsa .
The first wooden parish church was in the Ropsh manor.
In 1798, a new stone church was built in the village of Malki Gorki, located to the south and adjacent to it. The construction was carried out with donations from Count I. L. Lazarev . The temple with 550 seats was consecrated in the name of the holy apostles Peter and Paul .
In 1827, the church was renovated at the expense of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna , wife of Nicholas I.
In 1853-1854, by decree of Emperor Nicholas I, the church building underwent minor restructuring.
In 1904, the temple was redecorated.
In 1907, a pastor was built at the expense of the rector Stefanus Virkanen.
In 1917, there were 2,647 people in the parish. The parish was part of the East Ingermanland probation . Services were held by pastors of the Skvoritsa parish.
In 1938 the church was closed.
Subsequently, the building was used as a collective farm garage.
The present building is ruined, only the remains of the walls are preserved [1] [2] .
