Biography

Natalia German was born on March 20, 1969 in Chisinau . She graduated from the Philological Faculty of English and German at the State University of Moldova . In 1992 she graduated from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies in Bucharest. Natalia German served as Ambassador to Austria , Permanent Representative to the OSCE and other international organizations in Vienna ( 2002 - 2006 ) and Ambassador to Sweden , Norway and Finland ( 2006 - 2009 )

On June 29, 2009, at the suggestion of Minister Andrei Stratan , Natalia German was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the chief negotiator for the conclusion of the Association Agreement between Moldova and the European Union .

On May 30, 2013, Natalia German was appointed Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration in the Government of Yuri Leanca .

In September 2017 , she was appointed Special Representative and Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia .

Advocates for the European integration of Moldova and against integration into the EAEU Customs Union ; is a supporter of the ban on the retransmission of Russian television channels in Moldova [1] .
