Cherneev Dmitriy Timofeevich ( November 25, 1919 - May 28, 1987 ) - participant of the Great Patriotic War , commander of an armored vehicle of the reconnaissance company of the 18th Guards Mechanized Brigade ( 5th Mechanized Corps , 6th Panzer Army , 2nd Ukrainian Front ). Biography
Born on November 25, 1919 in the village of Novovoznesenovka in a peasant family. Russian by nationality. In 1930 he moved with his parents to the village of Adzhamovka, Khabarsky District , where he graduated from 7 classes. He worked as a combine operator in Ilinskaya MTS.
In August 1939, he was drafted into the Red Army by the Khabarsky District Military Commissariat. He served in the Far East .
In the battles of World War II from June 1942 . He fought on the South-West, West, 1 st and 2 nd Ukrainian fronts. In 1942 he joined the CPSU (b) / CPSU . Participated in the Battle of Stalingrad . By December 1942, he fought in the reconnaissance company of the 45th mechanized brigade. Repeatedly penetrated into the rear of the enemy, obtained valuable information. By June 1943 he was awarded two medals " For Courage ".
On June 6, 1944, in the area of the settlement of Stinka (11 km north of the city of Iasi , Romania ), senior sergeant Cherneev, being in the reconnaissance at the head of a group of soldiers, collected valuable information about the enemy. Returning to their location, the scouts destroyed the firing point and captured the enemy’s machine gun. On June 7, while repulsing a counterattack of infantry and tanks, he replaced the armored armor that had been out of action and knocked out an armored personnel carrier from the PTR and destroyed 4 soldiers.
By order of the troops of the 5th Mechanized Corps (No. 028 / n) of August 3, 1944, Senior Sergeant Dmitry Timofeevich Cherneev was awarded the Order of Glory of the 3rd degree.
On December 14, 1944, at the city of Shakha (on the border of Hungary and Czechoslovakia ), when repelling the enemy's attack, the senior sergeant Cherneev raised his reconnaissance to the counterattack, dragging along the infantrymen holding the defenses. Helped the shooters to repel the attack of the enemy, causing him great damage. On December 18, 1944, in the area of the settlement Plaštovce (3 km north of the city of Shakha, Czechoslovakia), a group of scouts penetrated 25 km into the depth of the enemy’s defenses and contacted detachments of Soviet partisans. When passing through the line of defense, he personally killed more than 10 soldiers and captured 1 prisoner. The scouts obtained valuable information about the enemy, his communications, the deployment of manpower and equipment, the layout of military facilities in the city of Bratislava and transferred them to headquarters. Cherneev also detained a German agent and handed him over to SMERSH .
During this reconnaissance, he was presented with the Order of the Red Banner , on February 3, 1944, the Military Council of the 6th Guards Tank Army rewarded the status of the award, but by that time reconnaissance officer Cherneev again distinguished himself and was presented with a new award.
On January 7, 1945, at the breakthrough of enemy defenses in the area of the village of Kapros (Hungary), a group of intelligence officers under the command of senior sergeant Cherneev defeated an ambush of the enemy. 7 enemy soldiers were destroyed, a gun was seized and 16 wagons in ammunition. On January 21, 1945, near the village of Mochka , when, after a sudden attack by the enemy, wounded soldiers and officers were left on the battlefield, 5 wounded officers carried out the scouts under enemy fire. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 15, 1946, senior sergeant Dmitry Timofeevich Cherneev was awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st Degree for exemplary performance of the combat tasks of the command on the front of the fight against the German invaders and the valor and courage shown. Became a full gentleman of the Order of Glory .
In 1946, Sergeant-Major Cherneev was demobilized. He came back to work at Ilyinskaya MTS, was a driver, mechanic controller, deputy director of MTS for political affairs. Then he worked as the head of the agricultural department of the district party committee, at his own request he was sent to the collective farm. For many years he worked on the collective farm "Red Banner" in the village of Topolny : he was the chairman, he worked as a department manager. From 1962 he worked as the director of the Khabarsk Fat Farm. In 1972 he graduated from the Agricultural Technical School. In recent years, he was chairman of the trade union committee of the Ilyinsky state farm.
He lived in the village Novoilinka Khabarsky district of the Altai Territory . He died on May 28 (according to other data, either on May 25 or May 29) of 1987 . He was buried at the Novoilye cemetery of the Khabar district.
