Osborne, Barry

Barry was born in New York , in the family of Hertha Schwartz and William Osborne, and grew up in New Rochelle , where he graduated from New Rochelle High School. He is a graduate of Carleton College in Northfield , Minnesota , and currently lives in Wellington , New Zealand .

Osborne's most notable work is The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King , for which he received an Oscar , which he shared with Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh . In February 2012, he completed the remake of The Great Gatsby , where Leonardo DiCaprio plays Jay Gatsby.
