It is a part of the Shimogodsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division - into the Shymogod village council.
The distance by road to the district center of Velikiy Ustyug is 31 km, to the center of the municipal formation Aristovo - 15 km. The nearest settlements are Bernyatino , Balagurovo , Peña .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 4 [2] .
